July 1 Was Deadline to Install Carbon Monoxide Monitors

Did you know that Carbon Monoxide is the leading cause of accidental poisoning in the U.S.?

The Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act (Senate Bill SB183) requires single family homes in California with an attached garage or a fossil fuel source to install carbon monoxide detectors within the home by July 1, 2011.

Owners of multi-family leased or rental dwellings, such as apartment buildings, have until January 1, 2013 to comply with the law.

Many stores sell carbon monoxide monitors.  To find one near you, visit the "Directory" page of our website at http://www.florinroad.com/.  There you can download a directory of stores in the Florin Road Business District.
