Winning!
Just a friendly reminder that our 11th Annual Beach Blanket Bingo fundraiser is Thursday, September 26, 2013. The event is at Florin Road Bingo, 2350 Florin Road, Sacramento, at the intersection of Florin & 24th Street. Doors open at 5:30 pm, the event runs from 6:00 pm-8:30 pm. The buffet, cash bar and raffle ticket sales will end at 7:30 pm.
This event is SOLD OUT! Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. The hall will be closed all day in preparation for the fundraiser.

FREE Do-It-Yourself Workshops
Sacramento City Councilmember Bonnie Pannell and The Home Depot of Florin Road invite you to a day of FREE Do-It-Yourself Community Workshops on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Pannell Meadowview Community Center, 2450 Meadowview Road, Sacramento.
There will be basic home improvement booth demonstrations, information sessions, "do-it-herself" power tool demonstrations, "kids corral" workshops, raffle prizes, and free giveaways. Sign up at the door the morning of the event. For more info, call 916-808-7008.

Walk with Walgreens
Walk with Walgreens and The National Council of Negro Women, Inc., Sacramento Valley Section - Children of Promise. Meet at the Pannell Meadowview Community Center at 6:30 pm each Monday of the month. For more info, call Cheryl Hughes at 916-807-5234.
