Home Sweet Home

Sacramento County has begun the process of updating the Housing Element and wants to hear from you at an upcoming community workshop:

Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Florin Sheriff’s Service Center (7000 65th Street, Suite B in the Community Room).

Discussion topics include:
  • What are the unmet housing needs in your community?
  • Who in general in your community needs housing assistance?
  • How can affordable housing and higher density housing become more accepted?
  • What types of housing do seniors want?

Through an interactive exercise, you’ll also have an opportunity to talk about important housing issues in Sacramento County. Your input will be used to develop new Housing Element policies and programs and modify existing policies and programs. You will be contacted regarding how your input influenced the Housing Element update.

If you are interested in attending this meeting, please email an RSVP to heupdate@saccounty.net.

If you require special accommodations to participate in the workshop, please notify County staff at least three business days in advance. Call (916) 874-6141 or California Relay Service (711) and ask for Tim Kohaya, or send a request to heupdate@saccounty.net.
